After spending some time polishing things in early access, Undisputed has finally arrived to bring the boxing action gamers have been dying to experience for years. From the legends like Muhammad Ali and Sugar Ray Leonard to modern-day greats like Canelo Alvarez and Oleksandr Usyk, you'll still need a good understanding of the Undisputed controls to deliver their kind of prowess in the virtual ring. With multiple control schemes to pick from and a few different ways to perform some of the same moves, we'll go over all the Undisputed controls you need to know.
Undisputed Controls Guide for Xbox and PlayStation
While PC players have been trying it out for months on early access, Undisputed has also now arrived on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. We'll be sticking to the console controls in this case, but players using a controller on Steam will likely have similar or identical controls to what you'll see here.
Trying out the Undisputed Tutorial when you first launch the game is highly recommended as it gives you a good overview and trial run of several different types of moves, and it can be found under Training from the Main Menu if you accidentally skipped it or need another refresher. For this guide, we're looking specifically at the Competitor control scheme in Undisputed. There are several others which we'll talk about below that change multiple controls, but Competitor is the default that most players will end up using.

If you wanna change things up, there are actually five other control schemes to choose from. Head into Settings then Controls and you can swap to Prizefighter, Pugilist, Defendant, Gladiator, or Advocate. Take a close look at each as some change multiple controls, but most will alter the Uppercut/Hook, Block/Weave/Modifiers, or Slip controls.
Prizefighter and Gladiator swap the Uppercut and Hook controls. Pugilist, Defendant, and Advocate will swap the trigger and bumper controls for Block, Weave, Body Modifier, and Power Punch Modifier. Defendant, Gladiator, and Advocate will change the Slip controls. If any of these feel like they'll better fit your style, just make sure to review the scheme for that set of Undisputed controls before diving back into the ring.
