The Boys Season 4 - Everything We Know So Far

Season 3 is officially over for The Boys and there have been plenty of new threads created that obviously lead into a Season 4. The team of Spice Girls was so close to meeting all of their goals in Episode 8, but they weren't close enough to stop a potentially worse reality from happening.

With such a major cliffhanger at the end of Season 3 Episode 8, many viewers likely ran to their phones to find out when we can expect some new content. Homelander might have more power than ever, and to see his plans all the way through, the fans clearly need a Season 4 of The Boys.

Will there be a Season 4 of The Boys?

Before anyone worries, there is already a confirmed Season 4 of The Boys. Back in June of 2022, news broke that the show was already greenlit for a new installment, and production would start later in the year. This news broke at just about the same time that Season 3 premiered, and the ratings on the show have proven that was a good move.

So far, there has been no confirmation on a released date for The Boys Season 4. Amazon Studios is likely still riding the wave of popularity for the latest finale, and after the next week or so, a release date will probably be talked about. But for those of us that are impatient, we can look at the past seasons and their release timelines.

In general, it takes just over a year and a few months for a new Season to release on Amazon. Season 3 took a bit longer due to Covid, but that was the case for most entertainment. Fans should look out for a release date around the end middle of 2023 or the start of 2024.

The finale just went live on 7th July, and production for the show is set to begin just a month later in August of 2022. Karl Urban told Collider in an interview that production would begin shortly after Season 3 was over, and depending on the efficiency of the studio, we could see a new season sooner than ever.

Episode count will also be a factor, and two of the three seasons have had eight episodes. Season 2 was shorter at six episodes, and of course, that's easier to create. But the budget has clearly increased on some of these new episodes as well, and The Boys Season 4 doesn't seem likely to hold back when we finally get it.
