Is Andrew Tate Running A Pyramid Scheme? Hustler's University Exposed?

Update: On 20th August 2022, Andrew Tate reportedly closed the Hustler's University Affiliate Marketing Program.

Original article: Andrew Tate has achieved widespread popularity this year, with his (often controversial) takes spreading like wildfire online. However, the former professional fighter is also a self-made multi-millionaire, owning the "rags to riches" mantra. Thanks to his training courses on his online business, Hustler’s University, Tate has amassed an enormous following and a steady income attracting thousands of dollars.

However, some people suspect there’s much more hiding under the veil regarding Tate’s financial success. On 22nd July 2022, Tiktok user Benleavitt alleged that Tate’s Hustler’s University business was a pyramid scheme for “sigma males.” In the video, he discussed Tate’s training courses and the dynamic of his business, including the referral system and workflow for affiliates who take the “opportunity” upon joining Hustler’s University.

According to Benleavitt, “Tate’s becoming the most famous person on social media because he’s running an MLM [multi-level marketing, also known as a pyramid scheme].” Benleavit added, “[Tate’s] primary source of income is Hustler’s University, his online course. Anybody who buys in Hustler’s University is given the opportunity to become an affiliate for the course.”

Benleavvit further explained Tate’s business model, “As an affiliate, you make fifty percent of anybody else you refer to the program.” The TikTok user continued, “So Tate’s at the top, people below played full price; they make fifty percent from people they refer. [And] they make fifty percent people they refer."

Benleavvit went on to talk about the online courses and what they taught people joining Hustler’s University. Tate’s business is all about “making money online, and one of the primary methods the courses teach is cutting up clips of Tate to use across social media to drive traffic as an affiliate marketer to the course.”

The Tiktoker stated that Tate has “built up an army who are pushing his content because they’re financially motivated to do so.” He noted these clips, although many meme-related, will invariably lead to Tate gaining more traction around his course and social media platforms; this continues the ever-growing business chain.

Another TikToker commented on Benleavvit’s post, saying the creator thinks Tate’s business Hustler’s University could be an MLM, but it’s actually just affiliate marketing. Affiliate marketing is quite common. The commenter added, “many physicians are affiliates for products they recommend.”

Although quite controversial for everything Tate’s done or said, fans or haters have to hand it to him. He’s done a good job developing and creating a solid structured business. Whether it's legal or not, we'll have to wait and see.
