An improved version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X consoles in 2021.
CD Projekt Red revealed the new versions will feature “a range of visual and technical improvements” which include ray-tracing and faster load times.
This re-release is the complete edition of the game, which includes both DLC expansions Blood and Wine and Hearts of Stone.

It will be available as a standalone release on PS5, Xbox Series X and PC, while players who already own the game on PC, PlayStation 4 or Xbox One will be entitled to a free upgrade. It’s unclear however whether players will need to own the complete edition to be eligible for the upgrade.
It’s not exactly surprising The Witcher 3 would be coming to next-gen platforms considering the success of the franchise, with the popular Netflix series catapulting its popularity.
CD Projekt Red is also supporting a similar upgrade system for Cyberpunk 2077, which is set to release in November.
