Escape From Tarkov Server Wipe Coming December 26

Escape From Tarkov players are no strangers to a server wipe, with the game regularly undergoing a refresh every six months or so and setting everyone back to zero. The last wipe took place back in August 2023, and it looks like we now know exactly when the next one is set to arrive. 

Creator NoiceGuy Tarkov has decrypted a recent event teaser from Battlestate Games, which seems to point to the date and time of the next refresh.

At the end of the teaser, a message is displayed which reads: "Learn to see what others can only hear." From the video, NoiceGuy Tarkov looked to the spectrogram to see if anything as hidden within the message and, perhaps unsurprisingly, he found something worthwhile. 

A string of "suspicious" letters were revealed which, when put through Base64 (a popular encoding and decoding tool that has been a key encryption method for these events), revealed a line of numbers all in 0s, 1s, and 2s. By removing the 2s and replacing them with spaces, you get a binary code:

• 00110010 00110110 00101110 00110001 00110010 

The binary translates into, seemingly, the date 26.12 (December 26). Given how late it is in the month, and how it lines up with the expected timeframe for the server wipe, this could only be the date for the next server wipe. 

So, with all this information taken into account, it seems fairly certain that the next server wipe for Escape From Tarkov will occur on Tuesday, December 26. 

NoiceGuy Tarkov finished his video breakdown by saying that, while it's highly likely, it's not a done deal. It's possible the teasers could point to the culmination of another event and that the server wipe happens two days later on the Thursday, or on that Sunday, December 31st.
