Escape from Tarkov provides a daunting experience to beginners, appearing to have complex menus, weapons, mechanics, and interfaces, players tend to resort to Google to research necessities like playing with friends. Within this guide, we're going to teach you how to play with friends and the limitations of playing within a group.
How to Play with Friends in Escape from Tarkov
Before continuing, here's the process simplified:
- Add a friend by their Tarkov name (in-game name)
- Invite them to your "group"
- Select a raid
- Enter raids with friends
Firstly, you're going to want to add your friend/s to your account, and to do that follow these instructions:
- Enter the main menu
- Click "Messenger" in the bottom right of the screen
- Select "Friends" in the top right of the messenger menu
- Search for your friend/s Tarkov's name in the search bar
- Add them
To accept a friend request, enter the friend's menu as previously instructed and select "Pending Requests" where you should see your friend's name; simply accept them.
To add them to your group, complete the following:
- Enter the main menu
- In the bottom left, you'll see four "+" bars, click one
- Select the name of your friend
- Click "Invite to group"
They will now join the group and you'll be ready to play. In order to progress into a raid, simply select the raid you want to play and wait for them to be ready, once all players are ready the match will start and you'll begin searching for a raid.
