Escape from Tarkov Ground Zero Map Revealed, Releasing December

Battlestate Games has released a teaser trailer featuring the next potential addition to Escape from Tarkov, known as "Ground Zero." Considering the wipe is approaching in December, players are wondering if "Ground Zero" is a new map or an expansion to an existing map, hopefully we can clear up some ambiguity.

There are several aspects we need to dissect within the Ground Zero teaser trailer:

• Six main new buildings
• Located deep within a city 
• Somewhat small environment/playing area
• Four shown extracts/"exits"

These all show signs that Ground Zero is an extension coming to Escape from Tarkov. Considering Streets of Tarkov was due for a second expansion, Ground Zero is likely the next addition coming to Streets of Tarkov in December or midway through the next wipe. 

The four shown "exits" aren't specified "extracts," meaning that these roads could be access points from the current Streets of Tarkov map, allowing players to have several ways to access the new expansion.

The focus point of this expansion is the buildings, we have a few skyscrapers players will be able to access which could open up new combat/sniping scenarios. Additionally, the Terragroup building will peak player interest, likely having a lot of loot, quest, and raider possibilities considering the history of the Terragroup within the Tarkov region.
