Escape from Tarkov 12.12: Release date, patch notes, Lighthouse map, trailer, more

Escape from Tarkov is set to receive a massive update with patch 12.12. The game will get its first new map in two years, Lighthouse, alongside weapons, and much more content.

A trailer released by Battlestate showcases everything we can expect from the patch, with all the brand-new content promising to revitalise the hardcore, survival first-person shooter.

There's plenty to chew through so let's get down to it.

Escape from Tarkov 12.12 - Release date

At the time of writing, we have no concrete information regarding a release date. 

Some players speculate the update will hit this 12th December, to match the date of the patch (12.12), however, these are all unconfirmed rumours.

Lighthouse

The most notable of all the things shown on the trailer (which are plenty) is the first new map in over two years -- Lighthouse.

Lighthouse features a massive shoreline from which players can spot each other from hundreds of meters, making for tense scenarios adding a sense of urgency to your gameplay.

The last map Tarkov fans received was Reserve, back in October 2019, so everyone will be eager to try out all the exciting stuff this new locale offers for long-time veterans and newcomers who will jump in amid all the hype.
