We're three episodes deep in the popular Disney+ Star Wars series, Obi-Wan Kenobi series, and already filled with plenty of Obi-Wan, the Inquisitors, Darth Vader, and so much sand. While it's expected that the series utilizes story plot points, characters, and locations from previous properties, the latest episode teased a possible tie-in connection with a popular video game.
Speculations have run rampage for months in the lead-up to the series premiere, and it seems we may have had a possible pay-off. We'll be highlighting significant plot points, characters, and details, with a spoiler alert if you have yet to watch Obi-Wan Kenobi: Episode 3 on Disney+.
Obi-Wan Kenobi featured key Jedi: Fallen Order location
The latest Star Wars series, Obi-Wan Kenobi, gave avid fans some hope, at least, by acknowledging a key piece of Star Wars lore in the latest episode. Aside from getting a glimpse at a cloaked Anakin Skywalker, the series utilized an important location, which has previously appeared in another related property.
The location in question is the Inquisitors' temple on the moon planet of Nur, last seen in Respawn Entertainment's Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order video game. This location appeared during the climactic finale moments of the game, seeing protagonist Cal Kestis exploring the temple and pursuing a Holocron.

This Holocron contained valuable information on Force-sensitive people in which the Inquisitors would attempt to convert them to the dark side or kill such individuals. So naturally, the events of the two Star Wars projects are five years apart, which is when Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the sequel to Jedi: Fallen Order, picks up around the same time as the Ob-Wan Kenobi series.
While Kestis barely survived the encounter with Darth Vader in the video game, we only saw a handful of areas, including the interrogation chamber and various rooms. In the Obi-Wan Kenobi series, we were treated to more areas, including the hangar and a meeting room where the Inquisitors gathered.
Considering the timeline of when the events of Jedi: Fallen Order took place, it left many Star Wars fans online speculating if Cal Kestis will appear in an episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi. Additionally, the character will be continuing their journey in a galaxy far, far away in Jedi: Survivor, scheduled for a 2023 release; it would be fitting for the young Jedi to make his live-action debut.
Obi-Wan Kenobi is streaming on Disney+ with new episodes set for release every Wednesday at 12 a.m. PST | 3 a.m. EST.
