Star Wars Outlaws aims to provide a fresh and welcoming experience, exploring stories that have yet to be detailed in its various media properties. As players acquaint themselves with the criminal underworld of which Kay Vess finds herself a part, multiple planets, and locations will play an integral role in her journey.

The game's Story trailer has provided more information on these planets and locations, and we've speculated how they'll factor in Kay's adventures. In this galactic guide, we've listed all the confirmed planets and locations in the Gameplay and Story trailers and briefly discuss their roles in the main story for Star Wars Outlaws.

All Confirmed Planets And Locations For Star Wars Outlaws

In the latest Story trailer, released on 9th April 2024 across multiple digital and social media platforms, Star Wars fans were treated to a spectacle of major open-world locations, dynamic characters, and intriguing stories. As players embark on a dangerous mission to steal from the Zerek Besh's leader, Sliro, she'll traverse various planets and iconic locations in this expansive world.

As such, the trailer highlighted a few of these planets and locations that Kay and Nix will get to explore to complete various missions and progress the game's story. Let's look at the confirmed plants and locations revealed in the Story trailer thus far:

Akiva

Throughout its history, Akiva has had close ties with the Galactic Empire due to its droid facilities that lie beneath its surface. (Picture: Massive Entertainment / Ubisoft)

In Star Wars Outlaws, Akiva is a planet residing within the Outer Rim and was a part of the Confederacy of Independent Systems (CIS), an organization largely responsible for the construction of droids in a facility below its surface. It was then occupied by the Galactic Empire before the battle of Akiva saw its leaders being overthrown and eventually joining the New Republic.

The planet's ecosystem is known for its tropical climates, being incredibly hot, with plenty of thunder and rainstorms dominating the planet. While the jungles of Akiva are home to two indigenous species, likely the planet's criminal activities, the droid facilities that date back to the Clone Wars and various gangs make Akiva a location where Kay could accept new missions and maybe explore ND-5's backstory as his droid model was created at a CIS-owned facility.

Canto Bight/Catonica

As recently as Episode VIII: The Last Jedi, Rian Johnson, the film's director, described Canto Bight as a "Star Wars Monte Carlo-type environment" on a desert planet, Cantonica. Naturally, the planet is well-known for being the destination for gambling, wealthy personalities, and persons who profited from the wars, and it's also a key location for one of the game's story plots.

As Kay Vess, Nix, and her team will set off on a mission given by Jaylen to steal from Sliro, Sliro's home and the headquarters of the Zerek Besh are situated in Canto Bight. As Canto Bight is known for its wealthy, lavish lifestyles and criminal activities, it also has a darker side ravaged by poverty, child labor, and a robust black market, which was depicted in The Last Jedi and could be explored in Star Wars Outlaws.

Kijimi

Located in the Mid Rim region, Kijimi was founded by a sect, the Dai Bendu, who had built a convent at its center, thus forming its city around it. Throughout its history, it has been raided after the fall of the Galactic Empire; the Republic couldn't control the city's criminal underworld, and its spice trade led to the formation of the Spice Runners syndicate.

Kay and Nix will be venturing off to this planet and will have to brave its frigid conditions to complete various missions and encounter dangerous foes, as seen in the Story trailer. She'll likely encounter the Spice Runners or another syndicate during her adventures here and engage in some starship battles above Kijimi, which should be a treat for players.

Tatooine

The most iconic Star Wars locations will be explored in Star Wars Outlaws as Tatooine makes an appearance in-game. Going back to the aforementioned Story trailer, Kay will encounter various characters and battle with incredible creatures, like the Krayt Dragon, but it's here where she'll link up with Jabba the Hutt.

Given that Sliro has gathered the most powerful crime lords at his home in Canto Bight, including the Hutts, it could be the reason why Kay was seen talking to Jabba at his palace and how she finds the carbonite-frozen Han Solo since Boba Fett has brought it here. Additionally, players who've pre-ordered or purchased the Gold or Ultimate editions of Star Wars Outlaws will access an exclusive Season Pass quest, Jabba's Gambit, in which she accepts a mission to track down ND-5 for Jabba.

Toshara

Toshara is a newly created planet for Star Wars Outlaws and possibly the starting location for the game's story. Based on the various concept artwork for its major city, Mirogana, this confirms that Kay gets her start in the criminal underworld here, given the multiple nefarious characters they'll meet.

Some of the nefarious characters Kay will encounter are the Pyke syndicate members, who have set up a base here in Toshara and were present at Sliro's meeting at the start of the Story trailer. Likewise, the trailer revealed that the planet's ecosystem resembles the African savannas, littered with vast plains and major canyons, which have slowly decayed due to its strong winds.
