After previously announcing the next DLC fighter would be from ARMS, Nintendo has revealed Min Min will be joining Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
In a presentation hosted from the home of series director Masahiro Sakurai, he explained how Min Min was the fighter chosen from the ARMS roster at the request of the title’s producer.
The fighter itself also strays from the usual formula of previous Smash characters. Instead of the A and B buttons separating smash and special attacks, each button represents the attacks of each fist - enabling a different kind of strategy in matches.
By using down B, you can select three different ARMS on the right fist, ranging from MegaWatt, RamRam to an additional Dragon - which vary in power, mobility, while the latter can shoot laser beams for additional damage.

The fighter itself is best used as a long range attacker, with Min Min’s attacks easily dodged in close quarters, while she also suffers from poor defence against aerial attacks.
Min Min can also use kicks at the tap of the A button, while her Smash attacks also utilise somersault kicks for final blows.
Her Final Smash is similar to Spring Man’s assist trophy move, but instead calls upon the entire ARMS roster to deliver a barrage of blows.
Min Min also comes with new stage Spring Stadium, which has special jump pads on either side of the platform which deal damage if someone gets in the way of a catapulted character.
There’ll also be 18 music tracks added from ARMS, while a new ‘rematch’ feature will be added to Spirits mode - allowing you to replay matches against Spirits you’ve beaten already.

Arguably the biggest surprise was the Mii Fighter line-up coming in a separate Mii Fighter pack, which includes a new ARMS fighter, Tekken’s Heihachi, Callie from Splatoon, and Vault Boy from Fallout.
Min Min is the first character from the second Fighters Pass for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, with a message during the presentation stating the rest of the fighters will be released before the end of 2021.
Min Min will be instantly downloaded for for anyone who has purchased the Fighters Pass 2 on 30th June. You can also purchase the character separately for £5.39.
