Sky COTL Days of Sunlight 2024 Guide: Start Date, Event Currency, Rewards, & More

Sky: Children of the Light's Days of Sunlight event is back, bringing in new rewards and also offering up old ones to celebrate the summer sunshine. Sky Kids can join in on the festivities and enjoy the rest of summer while earning event currency in the Elevated Clearing. Here's everything you need to know about Sky: Children of the Light's Days of Sunlight 2024.

Days of Sunlight 2024 Event Date & Time

Days of Sunlight 2024 is set to start at midnight on 26 August and last until 11:59 PM on 8 September. The event lasts exactly two weeks, giving Sky Kids plenty of time to save up that event currency and check out all that the celebration has to offer.

Days of Sunlight 2024 Event Gameplay

Throughout the Days of Sunlight event, players can head to the Elevated Clearing to check out the event festivities and play with other Sky Kids.

Players can find a cozy campfire with Light snacks, adding Wax to your Candle count. (This is a great place to AFK during the event to save up that Wax and get free Candles!)

Here at the Elevated Clearing, you can also make music with event Spirits, jump and play on diving boards or waterslides, or take place in even more summer-themed festivities.

New Days of Sunlight 2024 Event Currency

As with most Sky events, Days of Sunlight offers its own event currency and rewards. Players can get up to six event currency per day, which can be exchanged for prizes. Since the event is 2 weeks long, that adds up to a total maximum event currency of 84.

You can get six event currency from these spots:

• 4 placed around the event space
• 2 from taking part in event activities

In other words, you don't even have to take place in event activities to get most of the event currency! All you'll need to do is head over to the event area, the Elevated Clearing, and find the event currency each day. To get the remaining two, though, you'll need to complete the daily event activities.

Days of Sunlight 2024 Rewards

The rewards for Days of Sunlight 2024 both include brand-new cosmetics and ones brought back from previous years. Developers have confirmed that all items from past years will be back this year, with 2023's beach towel capes now available for in-game currency rather than real-world money.

Here are the new items coming for Days of Sunlight 2024:

• Sunlight Manta Float: 20 event currency
• Sunlight Beach Shorts outfit: 30 event currency
• Sunlight Helios Hoops earrings: $2.99 USD
• Sunlight Woven Wrap cape: $14.99 USD

Throughout the event, players can also get free trial spells from the Elevated Clearing and in the event shop. These trial spells only last for a short time, but give players a chance to try out the event items to see if they like them.
