Every year, Sky: Children of the Light celebrates their Days of Color event (formerly known as Days of Rainbow) and honors the diversity in the game's community. Now that the game has been ported to Steam/PC, there will no doubt be even more Sky Kids joining in on the limited-time festivities this year. Here's everything we know so far about the upcoming Days of Color event in Sky: Children of the Light, including its start and end date, and what cosmetics and props you'll be able to get in 2024, based on various leaks in the lead up to release.
When will the 2024 Days of Color event start this year?
Update - It's now confirmed that Days of Color will return from 00:00 June 24th through 23:59 July 7th.

This year's Day of Color event features the fan-favorite "Rainbow Road," a rainbow racecourse where players can slide down and gain Candlelight with other players. It also features a rainbow puzzle that can be completed with friends to gain a special "Days of Color" bonus speed feature.
Participating in the event will also give you the opportunity to find Rainbow Tickets, which will grant you special rewards and cosmetics!
Here's the official description for the event:
"Talk to Spirits in Aviary Village or Home to join them in an area high above the Daylight Prairie Village. There you can unlock a colorful rainbow puzzle day by day (with friends or solo)—and take a dip in a magical geyser that will add a splash of color to your avatar’s cape and more.
Once the day’s color puzzle is unlocked, soar into a new area to enjoy enchanting scenery and a brand new racecourse that can host some friendly runs through its twists and turns. With a host of improvements this year, you just might find yourself in your new favorite place in Sky, too. These festivities are all about celebrating the tapestry we create together, sharing a message of hope and the beauty of a world where all colors can shine.
As you soar around the event space, watch out for 5 rainbow-shaped event currency each day: 4 around the area, and 1 from completing the day’s color puzzle."

Leaked Days of Color 2024 Cosmetics & Spells
Just like every year, the Days of Color event will introduce a variety of new cosmetics and props to Sky, some of which will be earnable through in-game currency, while others will be available in exchange for real-world money. The items introduced during events like the Days of Color celebration likely will not return, so be sure to get them while you still can.
So far we already have several leaks from community members who have been digging into the beta version of Sky, where the devs will traditionally testing new features and future content.
For instance, Sky CotL YouTuber, nastymold, has pulled together a video that showcases some of the items already revealed in the beta. This includes new Days of Color Mask Spells and Shoe Spells.
Also coming to Sky with this event are new Hair Dye Spells. These will allow players to change their hair to various colours, including Rainbow Hair Dye! Although, do note that because these are Spells, Hair Dye is only temporary and will wear off eventually, returning the character's hair to white. You can view most of these leaked features and cosmetics on the video below:
After the Days of Color event, fans can look forward to checking out the game's 5th-anniversary celebration in addition to all of the other content that Thatgamecompany has in store for players later this year.
