Ubisoft finally treated us with some gameplay footage of their upcoming pirate game Skull And Bones at the Ubisoft Forward event. Accordingly, the gameplay footage raises many more questions than it answers, and one of the burning questions in the community is whether Skull and Bones will include a solo Campaign Mode or not? If you are wondering the same thing, here's everything you need to know.
Does Skull And Bones Have A Solo Campaign Mode?
Fortunately, anyone wanting to play Skull and Bones solo can do so as the game does let players experience the whole affair alone, although there isn't an explicit Story or a Campaign Mode.
A post on Xbox Wire stated: "You can play Skull and Bones solo, or team up with two other players — or enable PvP battles to see who is the most ruthless pirate. Skull and Bones is a live service game, and each season will bring new content, contracts, and challenges."
Despite not having a Campaign Mode, having the option to play Skull and Bones solo or with friends is definitely a welcomed feature.
Players can perform different quests, upgrade their ship or locate new items for their characters. The core gameplay element of Skull and Bones is ship combat and is something you will need to master if you need to survive. You can also build your ship and "sail up to 12 different" ones. Every ship features unique perks, differing in speed, health, and capacity stats.

Ship customization and upgrade will also be a major component of the game. In particular, you can upgrade your ship with powerful weapons like cannons, mortars, ballistae, torpedoes, and more. Additionally, ships can be fitted and customized with different equipment to better reflect your playstyle. There are many other things that players can take part in as they explore the seas and encounter different players.
Skull And Bones has been in development for a long time now and was first shown off at E3 2017 but was later squashed. However, the game finally got past all those hurdles, and Ubisoft has managed to pull the project together.
And that's everything you need to know about playing Skull and Bones solo. The game will release on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, PC, Stadia, and Luna on 8th November 2022, with pre-orders already going live.
