Skull & Bones is apparently still releasing and is in fact a real game that actually exists.
Ubisoft yesterday revealed their financial year 23-24 slate, meaning that all games in that slate are intended to be released between April 2023 and March 2024. These games are all as follows:
- Assasin's Creed Mirage
- Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
- Rainbow 6 Mobile
- The Division Resurgence
- Skull & Bones
- The Crew: Motorfest
- Xdefiant
- 'Another Large Game'
For those not in the know, Skull & Bones has had a rather troubled development cycle. The title was first announced in 2017, and according to reports has exceeded its budget multiple times. The game was supposed to release in 2018, before being delayed into 2019, then delayed into 2020, then again delayed to 2021.
In September 2020 it was revealed that the game had a 'new vision', pushing the title back to 2021/2022, before the game was pushed back in September 2022 to 2023. A final delay came in January of this year, with Ubisoft deciding to not give a new date for the title.
