Silent Hill 2 Remake Surpasses 2 Million Copies Sold

Many of us were understandably skeptical of a remake of Konami's 2001 iconic horror title, Silent Hill 2. But, under the surprising direction of Bloober Team, the Silent Hill 2 remake became one of 2024's best releases.

A psychological horror that oozes uneasiness and dread, Silent Hill 2 follows the story of James Sunderland who receives a strange letter from his late wife asking him to find her in Silent Hill. When James arrives, he soon learns that there's something very wrong with this town, and not everything is as he remembers it.

Silent Hill 2 remake launched on October 8, 2024 across PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam. Even with a limited platform release, the game has since gone on to sell a combined total of over 2 million physical and digital copies.

The game has gone on to win numerous awards and nominations, including Horror Game of the Year at The Horror Game Awards 2024, Best Horror Game at the IGN Awards 2024, and nominations for Best Action/Adventure Game and Best Performance for Luke Roberts as James Sunderland at The Game Awards 2024.
