Konami Partners With Bloober Team Again For New Game, Following Silent Hill 2 Success

Following the sweeping success of Bloober Team's take on Silent Hill 2, the Polish studio are once again teaming up with Konami for a new game. Naturally, fans are hoping for the studio to take on another Silent Hill game, but Bloober Team haven't confirmed that to be the case, simply stating that they're working on “a new game based on Konami's IP”.

In a press release, the studio said, "The trust built upon the success of Silent Hill 2 laid the foundation for signing another agreement for a new project. The deal aligns with Bloober Team's strategic plan to expand its internal development division within a first-party framework."

Outside of Silent Hill, Konami also helms Metal Gear Solid, Castlevania, and Frogger, among many others. While I'd personally love to see Bloober Team take on Frogger, it seems that the studio would perhaps be best geared for another Silent Hill remake. 

Bloober Team also have their own original IP in the works with Cronos: The New Dawn, a retro-futuristic sci-fi horror set in 1980s-era Poland. As for the Silent Hill franchise, Konami have a number of titles in the works including Silent Hill f, and Silent Hill: Townfall. 

Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno said in a statement: “Our collaboration with Konami has been incredibly fruitful, and the success of Silent Hill 2 speaks for itself. By sharing knowledge and experience, we have been able to create high-quality production together.

“Of course, we can’t reveal too many details at this time, but we are confident that fans will be just as excited about our collaboration as we are. We can’t wait to share something truly special with players when the time is right.”
