Silent Hill 2 Remake Release Date Seemingly Leaked

The Silent Hill 2 remake was first announced back in October 2022, alongside three other Silent Hill games and one Silent Hill film. It was confirmed at the point that Bloober Team would be developing the game, but we didn't get a release date for the game at any point. It seems, however, that the release date has leaked. 

According to a listing on Australian Retailer Gorilla Gaming, Silent Hill 2 is launching on September 29, 2023. While usually, these dates are just placeholders, they're normally at the very end of the year. It's extremely unusual for a date to be specified in the middle of a month like this. 

The original Silent Hill 2 was released over twenty years ago, back in 2001. It was received extremely well both commercially and critically, being considered later to be one of the greatest horror games of all time. It's going to be a massive uphill battle to make a remake of the game, but Bloober Team seems rather confident that they can do it.
