With the first free-to-play season coming to a close on 9th December, players have questions regarding their Season Rewards, and we have the answers. Find out exactly what could drop in your inventory, how to claim them and if you made the cut for these exclusive items
What are Rocket League Season Rewards?
Rocket League Season Rewards are unlockables available to players at the end of each competitive season. These items vary each season going from wheels and boosts to titles and decals. Each player will receive the highest rank and reward level they unlocked throughout that specific competitive season.
A progress bar will show your progress in Wins and your highest Reward Level unlocked so far.

Season Rewards are a great way to motivate users since they correlate directly with your wins and skill level in-game, as they are untradeable amongst players.
How to unlock Rocket League Season Rewards
Rocket League Season Rewards have a simple system. You need to win 10 matches in any rank or higher for you to earn the rewards for that rank. Meaning that making it to the next rank and dropping divisions next game is not enough for the drops to be earned.
This chart, provided by Psyonix Support, explains how to unlock each Reward Level:
Season Reward Level |
Number of Wins |
Bronze |
10 wins at Bronze Rank or higher |
Silver |
10 additional wins at Silver Rank or higher |
Gold |
10 additional wins at Gold Rank or higher |
Platinum |
10 additional wins at Platinum Rank or higher |
Diamond |
10 additional wins at Diamond Rank or higher |
Champion |
10 additional wins at Champion Rank or higher |
Grand Champion |
10 additional wins at Grand Champion Rank |
Supersonic Legend |
10 additional wins at Supersonic Legend Rank |
Even if your 10 placement matches set you up as a Gold III to start the competitive season, you will need to earn 10 wins to unlock Bronze, then 10 wins to unlock Silver, so on and so forth until you reach the rank you are at the moment of your last win in your highest rank.
So, if you win 40 matches in Gold rank, you will have only unlocked Bronze, Silver and Gold rewards as you have not moved on to the next rank, Platinum, to accumulate the next Reward Level’s 10 wins.
Rocket League Season 1 Rewards
For these first Free-To-Play season rewards, Psyonix decided to go with animated decals for each rank reward level. These were revealed in a news article on Rocket League’s website at the beginning of the competitive season:
Grand Champions get an additional reward in the form of a Title, a line of text players can choose from that displays under the username in the banner after the player scores or in the scoreboard screen.

These Grand Champion titles became a thing since the Pre-F2P Season 2 of Rocket League. Extra Modes Grand Champion titles, however, were added in Season 9 to differentiate regular Rocket League GC players from Rumble, Hoops, Snow Day or Drop Shot GCs.
This season, Grand Champion titles will come Crimson painted with the abbreviation S1 for Season 1, to distinguish them from past seasons of Rocket League title rewards.
Season 1 Grand Champion New Title Rewards
- Competitive Grand Champion: "S1 GRAND CHAMPION" in Crimson text
- Rumble Grand Champion: "S1 RNG CHAMP" in Crimson text
- Hoops Grand Champion: "S1 DUNK MASTER" in Crimson text
- Snow Day Grand Champion: "S1 BLIZZARD WIZARD" in Crimson text
- Dropshot Grand Champion: "S1 FLOOR DESTROYER" in Crimson text
With the addition of a new rank higher than Grand Champion, Supersonic Legends will also receive their own unique titles with different wording and colours than GC rewards.
Season 1 Supersonic Legend New Title Rewards
- Competitive Supersonic Legend: "S1 SUPERSONIC LEGEND" in Titanium White text
- Rumble Supersonic Legend: "S1 RNGENIUS" in Titanium White text
- Hoops Supersonic Legend: "S1 LEGENDARY BALLER" in Titanium White text

How to claim Rocket League Season 1 Rewards
As far as claiming your rewards after every season, there is nothing to worry about. Once the season comes to an end, your respective decal or title will automatically drop into your inventory safe and sound, notifying you of it the first time you log in after the season ends.
If there were to be any issues with your reward level or item drops, make sure to contact Psyonix Support with evidence of the situation.
With the competitive season ending on 9th December, you still have a couple more days to grind that rank and get a higher reward level than your current one.
