Rocket League introduces Tactical Rumble with new item selection

RNGeez Louis, it’s finally happening. Everyone’s complaints about Rocket League Rumble can be put to rest; at least for a couple of days.

Psyonix announced on 2nd June the introduction of Tactical Rumble, a Limited Time Mode variation of the original Extra Mode.

The playlist format is still very simple: a 3v3 5-minute match with RNG power-ups but instead of being presented with only one item, you get to choose from three options.

Depending on the strength of the item you choose, the longer or shorter the cooldown effect will be. Here’s a full list of cooldowns for each power-up:

10-SECOND COOLDOWN

• Tornado
• Car Swapper
• Disruptor

15-SECOND COOLDOWN

• Power Hitter
• Grappling Hook
• The Boot

20-SECOND COOLDOWN

• Magnetizer
• Freezer
• Plunger
• Haymaker
• Spikes

Whilst we believe this is a test to revamp the original Rumble game mode, this should be a breath of fresh air for a playlist usually hated for its very nature.

Tactical Rumble will be available as a Limited Time Mode from 3rd June to 7th June, so make sure to hop online to participate in the first step towards Rumble supremacy!
