Remnant 2 is a looter-shooter like Outriders and Destiny but with difficulty spikes comparable to FromSoftware's Dark Souls games. In short, it's a souls-like looter-shooter.

It's the sequel to 2019's underrated title, Remnant: From the Ashes, with a bigger budget, better visuals, and more complex gameplay. Remnant 2 is being developed by Gunfire Games, the studio that also released Darksiders 3.

Remnant 2 Story & Setting

Remnant 2 takes place in a post-apocalyptic world destroyed by an alien entity called the Root. Your objective is to travel to many unique and gorgeous realms, fight these alien creatures,  and destroy Root once and for all. 

Gunfire Games recently released an overview trailer for Remnant 2 that highlights some of the unique locales you can visit in the game. 

Remnant 2 Gameplay

As mentioned previously, Remnant 2 is a looter-shooter with souls-like elements, which you can play solo or with up to two more people. It features an open-ended procedurally generated world that changes every time your character dies in the game. You can choose to play as one of the three classes, also known as Archetypes, each with unique abilities and playstyles.
