Remnant 2 is one of the most highly anticipated looter-shooters of 2023. It's a bigger, more ambitious sequel to Remnant: From the Ashes that's being built on Unreal Engine 5.
Unlike its predecessor, Remnant 2 features state-of-the-art graphics and will be released only on current-gen consoles and PC. As evident from the recent trailers, Remnant 2 looks vastly superior to the first game in more ways than one. If you plan to pick up Remnant 2 on PC, you may want to check the game's system requirements.
Remnant 2 Minimum System Requirements
- OS: Win 10
- Processor: Intel Core i5-7600 / AMD Ryzen 5 2600
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics: GeForce GTX 1650 / AMD Radeon RX 590
- Storage: 80 GB available space
Remnant 2 Recommended System Requirements
- OS: Win 10
- Processor: Intel i5-10600k / AMD R5 3600
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics: GeForce RTX 2060 / AMD Radeon RX 5700
- Storage: 80 GB available space
As evident from above, these requirements are vastly inferior to what most AAA current-gen games require. Technically, it doesn't seem Remnant 2 will be a very demanding game despite its pretty visuals. The only thing that strikes out is the whooping 80 GB hard drive space. Remnant: From the Ashes takes 40 GB of space, which is half of what its sequel requires. Thankfully, an SSD isn't a mandatory requirement, which means you could install it on HDD if you wanted.
Unfortunately, these Remnant 2 system requirements have been listed by Steam and not Gunfire Games, so these may be subject to change. Also, they don't reveal the targeted FPS and resolution, which could have given a significantly better idea about the game's optimization and performance on PC. Gunfire Games could reveal a more detailed system requirement for Remnant 2 closer to launch, but you will have to wait for an official announcement.
Remnant 2 arrives on 25th July for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
