Remnant 2 is shaping up to be an ambitious third-person co-op title that emphasizes gunplay, loot-driven challenging combat, build-crafting, and more.
As with any multiplayer co-op game of this caliber, one of the first questions that come up to anyone's mind is whether it supports crossplay. With so many AAA titles opting for this feature, it feels like a no-brainer at this point in time. However, given the scope and size of the game and the devs, things could be different, which is why we are here to clarify whether Remant 2 has crossplay or not.
Remnant 2 Crossplay Explained
As of this writing, Gunfire Games hasn't confirmed whether Remnant 2 will support crossplay or not. Likewise, there's no word on cross-save and cross-progression.
However, Remnant: From the Ashes had crossplay support across PC and Xbox consoles, whereas PS4 players could play with PS5 players. While Remnant 2 isn't coming to Xbox One and PS4, other platforms could still get cross-play support at some point. We will have to wait for an official update from Gunfire Games.
Interestingly, Remnant: From the Ashes also featured cross-save and cross-progression. It means if you made some progress on your Xbox, you could hop on your PC later and resume your progress.
Remant 2 arrives on 25th July 2023 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
