Your final challenge in Poppy Playtime Chapter 3 is to defeat Catnap, the ominous enemy you've been seeing since the very start of your journey. Catnap, though, is a a formidable foe; he's the chapter's final boss for a reason, and he isn't easy to defeat. To help you finish up Poppy Playtime Chapter 3, here's how to defeat Catnap.
How To Defeat Catnap In Poppy Playtime Chapter 3
The final Catnap fight takes place right after you step into the elevator, which will cause Catnap to spawn outside. He won't hurt you; instead, he'll just loom in front of you as the elevator goes up. However, you won't be safe for long.
Once it's time to defeat Catnap, you'll end up in a room with multiple green glowing batteries and a screen that tells you, "Catnap is coming. Be ready." This means that it won't be much longer until you'll have to face the monstrosity head-on, so it's time to make your preparations. The screen gives you a few more little hints in what you need to do to rid the world of Catnap: "This room can protect you. It was a safe room before, and it might be what saves you now. Familiarize yourself with it." Then, it reads, "The room should still have batteries. Use them to power whatever you need to in the room. To the left and right side of the room, in the front and back, there should be small alcoves with terminals ready for a charge. See for yourself."
That's your sign to do just that; much like in the other Poppy Playtime chapters, you'll need to use your GrabPack to help in this final section. Open up the gate door on the right side of the room, and enter the alcove. You'll find a battery and some switches. Do the same for the other doors around the room. You can then touch the charged switches to power up your GrabPack, and then touch the terminals around the area to power them up as well. To get around the room and access all of the terminals, switch to your Purple Hand and touch the matching purple handprints on the floor, which will launch you over obstacles and into the areas you couldn't otherwise get into.
Once you've activated and charged all of the terminals, it's go time. Catnap will appear, and the screen will inform you that you're working with "Time Remaining: 180." So you have three minutes to defeat this beast. He'll appear from around the corners behind the screen; use your Red Hand to fire at him and deal damage, keeping him away from you. When the screen begins to blink red, add in a battery and keep going.
As the battle progresses, Catnap will start to use other attacks, such as trying to break in through a hole in the ceiling. Thankfully, you can quickly close the door using your GrabPack hands. Once you do, though, Catnap can reappear in the hallways with absolutely no warning, so you'll want to stay attentive. Just keep this up, and you'll eventually deal enough damage to Catnap to disable him. If Catnap gets too close, you can use those purple handprints you found on the floor earlier to launch you into a safer position.
After dealing enough damage to Catnap, he'll explode into fire and sparks, and you'll be safe and able to move on. Congrats - you've now beat one of the hardest fights in Poppy Playtime so far, and nearly wrapped up the third chapter!
