Pokémon Legends: Arceus takes tracking down Pokémon to a whole new level than previous entries in the franchise. In other games, you have access to a fully-fledged Pokédex that you can use to find different Pokémon across the map. However, in Legends: Arceus, you are in charge of developing the first Pokédex. Thus, you won't necessarily know where to find a certain Pokémon unless you happen to run into it while wandering the map of Hisui. One such Pokémon that can give players some problems is Cleffa, a baby Pokémon that evolves into Clefairy.
Cleffa wasn't introduced until Generation IV of Pokémon. This was the generation that brought many of the baby Pokémon we know today. While Cleffa is small and dainty, it can be a real pain to find on the map. The developers clearly don't want you to gain access to the Clefairy and Clefable evolutions very easily. To see how to outsmart the developers and find and evolve Cleffa in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, keep reading the guide below.
Finding Cleffa in Pokémon Legends Arceus
To start, you'll need to catch Cleffa. We've gone over this in a previous guide but, essentially, Cleffa can only be caught in one specific area of Hisui. That area is the Fabled Spring, which is located in Coronet Highlands. Cleffa can mainly be found south of Fabled Spring, near the water. Be careful of approaching the Pokémon, though, as it startles easily. Sneak up on it for the best chance of throwing a Poké Ball and capturing it.

Once Cleffa has been added to your party, you can go about evolving it in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
Evolving Cleffa in Pokémon Legends Arceus
The evolution process of Cleffa to Clefairy is fairly straightforward. All you need to do is gain a high enough Friendship level with the baby Pokémon to trigger its evolution to Clefairy. To gain a higher Friendship level, you can use the Pokémon in battle, give it berries, and put it at the front of your party.
Once Cleffa's Friendship is high enough, you can manually evolve it into Clefairy. To evolve Clefairy into Clefable, you will need to find and use a Moon Stone on the Pokémon.
That's all you need to know about finding and evolving Cleffa in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. The hardest part is catching Cleffa, so once you do that, it should be smooth sailing.
