Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl have returned with many different kinds of Poké Balls. The standard balls are still in the game, as expected, but so are some niche ones that players can use to their advantage when catching rarer Pokémon.
Perhaps the most useful Poké Ball in the Sinnoh remakes is the Dusk Ball. This specific ball allows players to catch Pokémon found in dark spots, like caves, much easier. Pokémon like Giratina that reside in caves now don’t need a Master Ball in order to catch quickly. However, players first need to know where they can find Dusk Balls if they want to start catching Pokémon in these dark spots across Sinnoh.
Buying Dusk Balls in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl
There are two places where you can purchase Dusk Balls in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. The first place is located in Celestic Town, a place that doesn’t experience much action throughout your journey. There’s not even a Poké Mart in the town, which leads players to think nothing of value can be purchased.
However, if players navigate to the top northwest house, they’ll find an elderly man behind a desk that sells Dusk Balls for 1,000 Poké Dollars apiece. He also sells other balls like the Quick and Timer Ball.
The next location is in Solaceon Town. This city actually has a Poké Mart that you can enter and buy the Dusk Balls for 1,000 Poké Dollars. This is the easiest location to find the Dusk Ball, as you reach it far earlier in the story of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.
However, either location is useful once you reach Celestic Town, which happens after you beat the Pastoria City Gym and get the Secret Medicine from Cynthia. This allows you to disperse the pack of Psyduck blocking the route to Celestic Town.
