Battles are the central focus of the Pokémon GO World Championship event and one of the main bonuses is the featured attacks list. For the duration of the Championship event, you'll be able to get some special moves for Pokémon that are considered high-tier for both PvP and PvE.
On top of the Timed Research tasks for the Great League, these attacks and team builders are a great way to beef up your overall roster. But not every Pokémon can get the featured attacks during the event. This guide will outline exactly how to make the most of the PvP bonuses this week.
Every Featured Attack in the Pokémon GO World Championship event
In total, there are five featured attacks that you can earn while the Championship event is live. They can't be used at random though, and there are five different attacks for five specific Pokémon. Just like other events like Community Days, the attacks are exclusive and can only be obtained with an Elite TM on a normal day.

To get the featured attacks, all you have to do is evolve the second form of a specified Pokémon. That part shouldn't be too difficult as long as you have the Candy or the spawns. Below you will find the list of the specific Pokémon, their attacks, and the damage they provide.
- Rhyperior: Rock Wrecker - 110 Power
- Gengar: Shadow Punch - 40 Power
- Gyarados: Aqua Tail - 50 Power
- Metagross: Meteor Mash - 100 Power
- Talonflame: Incinerate - 15 Power in Trainer Battles, 29 Power in Gyms and Raids
The first four Pokémon on the list all have featured attacks that are charged. They also do the same damage across the board regardless of whether you use them in PvE or in PvP. Talonflame is the exception to the list. Not only is the featured attack for the Pokémon GO World Championship a fast attack, but it also has varying damage numbers.
Every Pokémon that is listed is also viable in the GO Battle League to some degree. However, Talonflame is the only one that really does well in the Great League. Gengar is somewhere in between. The other three are used for the 2,500 CP Ultra League or the limitless Master League.
After a week goes by, you'll have to go back to using Elite TMs to earn some of these moves. Luckily, Timed Research provides an Elite Fast TM and an Elite Charged TM as rewards.
