PUBG Mobile 1.6: Release date, features, leaks and more

After the successful release of the PUBG Mobile 1.5 update, PUBG Corp. is getting ready to release the 1.6 update. Recently, the developers released the beta version of the PUBG Mobile 1.6 update. Since the 1.6 update is already in beta testing, a lot of the upcoming features into the game have already been made available for players. 

The new PUBG: Mobile 1.6 update is expected to reintroduce the infamous Vikendi map along with the fun Payload mode, which had unique weapons and vehicles that was quite fun. Although a patch update is expected to be released somewhere this week or the next week, it won’t be the 1.6 update.

PUBG Mobile 1.6 update - release date

PUBG Mobile 1.6 is expected to release in the second week of September, between 9-11th. After the release of the 1.6 update the new Royale Pass season is expected to start from 16th September.

New Features and more

PUBG Mobile 1.6 will introduce loads of new content and features in the game, the new update also brings back a lot of the old map and game modes back to the game which includes the snowy Vikendi map, Infection Mode, Survive Till Dawn, and Metro Royale: Reunion.

Apart from these the new 1.6 update also introduces a new game mode which will be called Flora Menace Mode. This game mode is based on the Classic Erangle map added with some new features:

• Rejuvenation Barrier - Rejuvenation Barriers will appear randomly in the urban areas of the map and entering these areas will give players health boost, after the fights it will slowly regenerate until full.

• Cell Matrix - Players need to find these Cells on the Erangle map, upon reaching there it will take the players to the Cell Matrix mothership and they need to fight with enemies with random weapon drops and respawns, eliminating the opponents will give the players large amounts of Nacore chips which can be used to call for DynaHex Supplies. After a certain period of time, the Cell Matrix will begin docking, initiating battles with many types of airship.

• DynaHex Supplies - You can use these supplies from the backpack, using these DynaHex Supplies by spending Nacore chips will provide Combat Supplies, these supplies will be delivered via air in designated spots using the DynaHex Supply Cell.

Krafton, always try to implement new in-game features which allow players to experience better gameplay, here are the list of all the new features that you can expect in the upcoming PUBG Mobile:1.6 update:

• Highlights - This is a new feature which you can enable from the settings, this will allow you to check out exciting elimination highlights at the end of a Classic Mode match. These highlights can also be available in the historical Career Stats and shared in the Chat and on external platforms.

• There are some improvements in the Display and Controls.

• A newly added sound effect when you hit a Headshot.

• Optimisations:

  • Players can now toggle between if they want to turn on or off the automatic bandages options from the settings.

  • The response time to cancel the applications of healing/medications has been made faster and smoother.

  • Also the hit effects have been improved now when players lose health it makes it easier to identify each hit.
