PUBG Mobile 1.3 patch notes: Karakin and Code-C maps, Motor Glider, new weapons and more

PUBG Mobile players can look forward to a massive new update expected to arrive with Season 18. In the early PUBG Mobile 1.3 patch notes, we take a look at all the new content, including new maps named Karakin and Code-C, a new sniper rifle and utility weapon, new mechanics and more.

PUBG Mobile 1.3 update: Expected release date

You can test out the PUBG Mobile 1.3.0 beta update right now, filled with all the new content. However, don't expect the update to release for the game's live version soon.

The expected release date of the PUBG Mobile 1.3 update coincides with the release of Season 18. Season 17 is currently underway and ends on 21st March 2021. Expect the PUBG Mobile 1.3 update to release on the same date.

PUBG Mobile 1.3 patch notes: The highlights

Now, let's dive into full PUBG Mobile 1.3 patch notes, with details on each piece of new content revealed thus far.

PUBG Mobile Panzerfaust

The Panzerfaust is a new utility weapon which will spawn in the Karakin map at low rates, and it is also a fixed drop from airdrops.

Players will be able to destroy walls in Karakin but they will have to choose their target wisely, as this is a single-use weapon with a rocket which will explode on hit, dealing area-of-effect damage to targets within 6 meters.

Launching a rocket from the Panzerfaust causes a wake. This wake will damage all characters within 3m from the back of the launcher.

Therefore, when using the Panzerfaust, make sure to pay attention to whether there are any walls or friendlies behind you before firing. The Panzerfaust can be adjusted to shoot 60m, 100m, or 150m.

New Arena Map: Code-C

There's a brand-new Arena map coming with the PUBG Mobile 1.3 update. This is a small-sized map with staggered passages. The Code-C map is built for fast-paced gameplay.

The small new Arena map Code-C has enough space to fight with SMGs and Assault Rifles. It features a helicopter in the middle and will be available in Team Deathmatch mode.

PUBG Mobile 1.3 new vehicle: Motor Glider

The first aerial vehicle called the Motor Glider, which can take up to two players, will appear in the PUBG Mobile 1.3 update thanks to early patch notes. 

The Motor Glider will only spawn in Miramar and Erangel.

"To takeoff, the Motor Glider must gain enough speed, and then the driver must press the up button to raise the nose. The Motor Glider’s fuel consumption is directly related to engine speed.

The faster you fly, the more fuel will be consumed. It is always a good idea to fill up the Motor Glider’s tank before stepping on the accelerator. The Motor Glider will bring exciting transportation methods and tactical changes. You can also enjoy the beautiful scenery while gliding around."

Karakin map & new mechanics

The iconic Karakin map from PUBG on PC, which was supposed to get revealed at the Global Championship, will release as part of PUBG Mobile's 1.3 update.

"Karakin is located on the coast of North Africa. It stretches 2 square kilometers and is dry, open, and filled with rocks. On Karakin, every moment will challenge you. It is a small and thrilling map that combines Miramar’s tension with Sanhok’s fast-paced gameplay.

A maximum of 64 players can participate in each match. You will experience long-ranged rifle battles in the mountains, city battles that require strategy, and tension-filled battles in the dark underground."

Inside the Karakin map, you will find new mechanics. The first is called Demolition Zone, which is basically destruction-based gameplay, where buildings can be turned into ashe with the right explosives.

Then, we also have Thin Wall Bullet Penetration, which means you can shoot through thin walls on the Karakin map. 

Lastly, there's a new throwable called Sticky Bomb, which can be thrown against walls in Karakin to blow them up.

Mosin Nagant Sniper Rifle

The Mosin Nagant will only spawn on Erangel and Vikendi. It is a 7.62mm bolt-action sniper rifle as powerful as the Kar98K, but its bullets fly faster and lose less damage over distance.

It can eliminate an unarmored target with a single shot from long distances, making it a powerful new Sniper Rifle to try out with the PUBG Mobile 1.3 update.

That's all the PUBG Mobile 1.3 patch notes we have so far, as bug or gameplay fixes have not yet been revealed by the developers.

There might also be some more features or content coming with the PUBG Mobile 1.3 update before the Season 18 release date of 21st March 2021, as these are only the new content being tested in the beta.
