PUBG Mobile is one of the most popular mobile games available, as the esports aspects have been a massive factor in its overall success. Headlining the esports side is the PUBG Mobile World Invitation (PMWI), the top tournament of the PUBG Mobile Esports Season. This year, the PMWI will be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia with a massive cash prize pool for players to win.

As the name suggests, it is an invitational tournament, and the top teams from all around the world will be competing against each other. PMWI 2022 Start Date, Teams, and Prize Pool

As mentioned earlier, the PMWI will be an invitational event, where the top 18 teams from across the globe are invited to compete against each other. The PMWI 2022 is divided into two different events, the main event, and the after-party showdown.

The PMWI Main Tournament takes place from 11th-13th August and the PMWI Afterparty Showdown will play out from 18th-20th August with exciting new formats. There will be 18 Teams competing in the PMWI Main Tournament and 12 Teams participating in the PMWI Afterparty Showdown.

The massive $3,000,000 prize pool is also divided into different categories as well, here is the complete breakdown:

• $2,000,000 for the PMWI Main Tournament which will include rewards for star players with an array of prestigious PUBG MOBILE player awards for individual performance. MVP, The Gunslinger, Eagle Eye, Field Medic, and Grenade Master will all be crowned during the competition.

• The remaining $1,000,000 will be for the teams competing in the PMWI Afterparty Showdown.

The teams invited for the PMWI Afterparty Showdown includes the five top-ranked teams from the Main Tournament, five teams selected by fan vote from Americas, Southeast Asia, MENA, South Asia, and Europe, as well as 7Sea Esports, and one special invited team from the host nation, R8 ESPORTS. The above-mentioned teams from the PMWI Main Tournament need to secure the top five positions in the PMWI Main Tournament to qualify for the PMWI Afterparty Showdown.
