Developer Starbreeze Studios has announced a Payday 3 Open Beta, dubbed a "technical stress test," to test the game's servers before its release on 21 September 2023, and you are invited to join the high-octane first-person heist action!

You will have three days to test Payday 3 via the open beta, with the main objective for the developer being to test the game's servers ahead of launch later in September. The developers have provided fans with the exact start/end dates and times, which you can view below:

• Starts: September 8, 2023 at 4:00 PM GMT+2
• Ends: September 11, 2023 at 10:00 AM GMT+2

How To Join Payday 3 Open Beta & Platforms

The Payday 3 Open Beta is available on Xbox (via Insider) and PC (via Steam). To join the Payday 3 Open Beta Tech Test, follow the steps outlined for your platform below:

• Steam: Visit the PAYDAY 3 store page and press “Request Access” near the top of the page.
• Xbox: Go to the Xbox Insider Hub, navigate to previews, and select PAYDAY 3.

Payday 3 Tech Test Open Beta Content

In terms of content, there will be one Heist available called "No Rest for the Wicked." The original characters will also be available, namely Hoxton, Wolf, Chains, and Dallas. There's an Infamy level cap of 22, and you can take your weapons up to level eight. 

Most but not all weapons and cosmetics are included in the Payday 3 Open Beta. The Infamy level cap of 22 means you won't be able to unlock all skills, which is fair. Lastly, all difficulties are available, so you can challenge yourself and your friends.

Please note: No progress carries over from Payday 3's beta to full release.
