On 6 December 2024, the long-awaited ARPG from Grinding Gear Games, Path of Exile 2, will finally be released as an early-access title on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. To play the game in it's Early Access state, gamers will have to purchase a Supporter Pack.
When Path of Exile 2 comes out of Early Access, the game will be free-to-play, which makes a full launch significant for those who don't want to open their wallets.

Generally, when a game just hits Early Access, there's no real telling how long it will stay in this state before a full release. It could be three months or three years, for example. While a precise release date from Early Access to a full launch is not known, developer Grinding Gear Games did give a great indication.
This information comes from a detailed FAQ, where the developer answered the question, "How long is Early Access likely to run for?"
As long as needed, we expect at least 6 months.
Since the developer did say "at least 6 months," the minimum release date window for the full Path of Exile 2 launch should be around June 2025. It could, of course, talk much longer, and I wouldn't be surprised if we see a full launch in December 2025, but that's just a matter of personal opinion.
Thanks to the excellent transparency from the developer, we do know for sure that PoE2 will remain in Early Access for at least six months. Keep in mind that even in Early Access, Path of Exile 2 is a huge game, as the developer explained that:
It includes a significant campaign of Three Acts as well as a rich endgame. At the start of Early Access there will be 50 bosses, and around 400 monster types.
Even more impressive is that Grinding Gear Games plans to add so much content that the game will "roughly double in size" from Early Access to full release.
