The Outlast Trials Halloween Event: Start Time, Rewards, Gameplay, More

The Outlast Trials is a fairly new game, as it's still in Early Access, but developers are going all in with events and festivities this year. These event updates include new features, limited-time modes, and updates to existing content to keep the game as fresh as possible.

For 2023's spooky season, the game is celebrating with a Halloween event that includes some special limited-time gameplay items, a new Trial, and quality-of-life updates. Here's everything included in The Outlast Trials' 2023 Halloween Event, as well as when it begins.

Outlast Trials 2023 Halloween Event Start Time

The Outlast Trials' 2023 Halloween event will begin on 26 October 2023. It'll last until 2nd November, giving players about a week to enjoy the special features.

Also going on during this time is a Steam sale for the game; it'll be 20% off to celebrate the Halloween season, allowing new players to start enjoying the game (and the event) at a lower price than usual.

The Halloween update will include some major new content, such as a new Trial called Program 4: Courthouse. There will also be a brand new Sleep Room Minigame.

Also included are new Weekly programs, MK-Challenges, and a limited-time Halloween mode called Program Geister. Players can participate in Program Geister for special Halloween rewards.

Other new items will also be added, such as:

• Amps
• Variators
• Prescriptions
• Cell Items

The update's quality-of-life improvements include:

• Reward efforts even in the event of failing a Trial
• Penalising group players not participating in Trials
• Improvements to the Trial selection process as a group
• Improvements to solo experience
• Improvements to AI behaviour in some edge-case situations
