The Outlast Trials' Project Breach Update Introduces A New Trial, Ability, Enemies, & More

The Outlast Trials' newest update, Project Breach, is here, and it's a massive one.  Project Breach features a new Trial ("Pleasure the Prosecutor"), a new environment (Downtown), a new enemy, and a new player ability called the Jammer Rig. It all centers around a fresh new face, too: asylum escapee Amelia Collier.

Red Barrels say that the chapter "marks a new beginning" for the game, as it introduces new story elements, gameplay features, and challenges.

The new player ability known as the Jammer Rig is able to disable electronic devices, and developers say it's a great pick for strategic players. It helps disrupt the trial environment while also allowing you to grab some extra loot.

The new enemy, on the other hand, is the Molotov. This enemy throws - you guessed it - exploding Molotovs, creating fire-ridden areas that you must avoid.

Players can also check out new two MK challenges, Reunite the Family and Face the Futtermans (descriptions courtesy of Red Barrels):

• Reunite the Family: The nuclear family is the societal ideal. Release the orphan from the shackles of the state and reunite him with mother and father.

• Deface the Futtermans: Childhood memories are the stagnation that impede your growth. Put away the childish things that clutter your mind.

The update also includes a winter event called Winter Kills. Players can collect gifts for extra rewards, and will occasionally experience piercing cold air in trials. Also, throughout the event gas mines are temporarily frost mines!

Also to celebrate the holiday season, the Unholy Night DLC pack is now available, featuring 8 Legendary outfits, Reagent cell decorations, and player icons, all for $19.99.
