New World Season 4 Eternal Frost Release Date & Features

After the successful launch of Rise of the Angry Earth, Amazon Games has gotten players all excited with the announcement of New World Season 4, called Eternal Frost. It will bring a brand new storyline, expedition, artifacts, and much more. Along with this, a new season pass will also be available, along with some limited-time challenges that players can complete to earn exclusive cosmetics.

New World Season 4 Eternal Frost Release Date

New World Season 4 Eternal Frost will release on December 12; however, the exact time is yet to be revealed. In addition to this, players will be able to test all the upcoming content before the global launch in its Public Test Realm starting on November 9.

However, keep in mind that you need to own Rise of the Angry Earth in order to get the new content.

Here is the content coming to New World Season 4, the Eternal Frost:

New Storyline

Players will be able to experience a brand new storyline in which "A Knight of the Round Table has unearthed forbidden knowledge of the Ancients, seeking to subjugate humanity with the power of an eternal winter."Your goal will be to rally your team and convince a "surly fire mage named Daichi to help track down and vanquish the Knight before he lays waste to Aeternum."

The Winter Convergence Festival

Icy winds and glimmering Gleamites fill the air once again as Winter Convergence returns to Aeternum. During the festival, you will be able to visit Winter Villages to meet the Winter Wanderer and carry out his holiday quests.

In return, players will get Winter Tokens that they can use to earn new limited-time rewards, including festive skins, emotes, housing items, and more.

New Level 65 Expedition

A brand new Level 65 expedition called The Glacial Tarn will be available in New World Season 4. It will take place in the Great Cleave, where you will be able to explore "a cavernous frozen complex hidden beyond the Empyrean Forge in pursuit of the Varangian Knight Sir Loth."

You will have to locate and use the primordial magic of the Empyrean Flame to remove enemies and obstacles imbued with Ice Magic and defeat Sir Loth before his power consumes all of Aeternum.

New Artifacts

Eight new Artifacts will be a part of the next season and will feature their own quests. Here is a list of some of those:

• Boltcaster Bow — Stun and shock enemies
• Winged Shoes — Boost your speed and reduce cooldowns 
• The Frozen Gauntlet — Freeze and finish your enemies

New Season Pass

A new Season Journey, new Activity Card, new Challenges, and new rewards, including cosmetics and consumables, will be available to for you in New World Season 4.

Winter Warrior Boss

A new open-world boss, The Winter Warrior, and his legion of Frigid Folk are on a relentless mission to spread a Forever Winter across the land. Players will be able to team up with 20+ players to defeat it in Great Cleave, Brightwood, Edengrove, Ebonscale Reach, and Brimstone Sands for new seasonal rewards.

General Crassus Boss

General Crassus' forces are threatening Aeternum, and your job is to hunt down its monstrous captains and banish the shadow of Roman tyranny. You will be able to search for portals in Brightwood, Weavers Fen, Mourningdale, Ebonscale Reach, and Edengrove, and each victory over them will give you new event-specific, daily rewards.

Cross world expeditions and improved Group Finder

In Season 4, players will be able to team up with anyone from any world to complete challenges; however, they should be in the same region. To find the perfect players, you can use the new one-click Group Finder that will automatically assemble a role-balanced, cross-world group, and you won't have to do lobby management anymore.
