To get the maximum output from fishing activity in New World, players must have good fish baits. And they must know about the different fishing hotspots. Catching rare fish will allow players to sell them in the trading post.
Alternatively, players can use them in alchemy or for crafting other items. And if all that is not enough, players can always salvage them for items like fish oil, fish guts, etc.
In any case, knowing about the best places to fish is a must thing for New World players. Keeping that in mind, we have prepared a handy guide on New World fishing hotspots and how to find the best places to fish based on your fishing level.

How to find broad, rare or secret fishing hotspots
Depending on your fishing skill level, players unlock broad, rare or secret fishing hotspots. Thankfully, the unlock sequence is progressive, which means when your fishing skill level is low, the broad, rare or secret fishing hotspot will pop up in regions with the low-level requirement.
Thanks to the New World community, we have a fishing guide web tool that showcases all fishing locations based on your level.
Once you are at the fishing guide community website, select the suitable fishing hotspot and click on the location icon to get the exact location of the hotspot.
If you click on the magnification glass in the newly opened window, you can interact with the map and check the region and nearby locations for reference purposes.
