Survival and crafting are two essential parts of New World, and what could be a better place to do it than a camp, a base you can set up at a place of your choice. You can use your camp to rest, craft items, store them, and respawn if you die; however, this feature is not available from the beginning.
Thus, here is a guide on how you can unlock a camp and place it in New World.
Steps To Make A Camp In New World
Making a camp in the New World is not very difficult, but it does require some preparation and planning. Here are the steps you need to follow to make your first camp:
- First of all, you need to go to complete a series of early quests until you meet Survivalist. Once you do, talk to him, and you will unlock the ability to camp.
- You will now have to collect 1 Flint and 5 Green Wood in order to make a basic camp. You can find Flint on the ground, usually near rocks or water, and Green Wood by chopping down small trees or bushes with an axe.
- Press Y on your keyboard, and place the blueprint at the spot of your choice. You can move the blueprint around with your mouse and also rotate it. However, keep in mind that you can only place it at a level equal to or lower than your camp level.
- Confirm by clicking your left mouse button. This will place the blueprint on the ground and show you the materials you need in order to build the camp that you have already collected.

You can use your camp to rest, which will restore your health and stamina over time. Apart from this, you can craft items, such as food, potions, ammo, and tools; however, keep in mind that you can only have one active camp at a time, but you can change it by making a new one.
