The NBA 2K fever is back on track as the cover athletes and game editions were officialized earlier today.
With Luka Doncic on the Standard version, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Dirk Nowitzki and Kevin Durant on the NBA 75th Anniversary edition and even a WNBA physical-copy exclusive with Candace Parker, fans all over the world seem to be content.
Although, there is one constant question throughout the social media comments and NBA 2K forums: Will there be cross-play for this year’s game? Here we bring you the answer.
Will there be cross-play in NBA 2K22?
As answered by the official NBA 2K FAQ site, the short answer is no. There will not be cross-play between console brands including PC.
This means that you will only be able to play with either Xbox, PlayStation or PC ballers one at a time

However, the site also states that there will be cross-progression between hardware from the same family, so if you were planning to switch from an Xbox One to Xbox Series S/X or from PlayStation 4 to PlayStation 5 you won’t lose your progress in the way, including your VC and MyTeam collection.
Although this is definitely not something anyone wanted to confirm we hope that technology allows us to change it in the near future.
