Is Naraka Bladepoint Cross-Play?

If you've only been Naraka Bladepoint as a solo player, you're likely considering getting some friends together to jump into this action-packed 60-player battle royale. If that's the case, you've likely wondered whether the game offers cross-play for those on different platforms. 

If you have, then you're in luck, as this article will go over the details of Naraka Bladepoint's cross-play features and whether it will be possible for your friends to join you in this game regardless of platform. 

Is Naraka Bladepoint Cross-Play?

Cross-play is an important feature for multiplayer games, especially those in the battle royale genre. It allows players on different platforms to play together and compete against or with each other. Unfortunately, Naraka Bladepoint only offers cross-play as a partial feature at the moment, which means that certain players on different platforms are unable to join the same game.

Cross-play in Naraka Baldepoint currently allows those playing on Xbox consoles to play together with friends on PC who own the game on the Microsoft Store. Those playing the game on PC via Steam and the Epic Games store will not be able to access the Xbox community. This limitation can frustrate players who want to play with friends who own the game on a different platform. It can also divide the player base, which can lead to longer wait times for matchmaking and a less enjoyable gaming experience overall. 

However, it's important to note that implementing cross-play is not an easy feat, as it requires the game to be designed with multiple platforms in mind and involves complex technical issues that must be resolved. The good news is that the developers of Naraka Bladepoint are aware of the issue and are working to address it.

In a recent Twitter post, the game's Producer, Yongcheng Liu, mentioned that they are taking the issue seriously and are exploring ways to improve cross-play in the game. This may mean that the feature could be added in an upcoming update or when the PS5 version of the game is released, something the developers initially promised us in the early days of the game's life cycle.

In the meantime, players on different platforms can still enjoy the game separately and progress through the game at their own pace but do keep this in the back of your mind when purchasing the game for the first time, especially if you're looking to play with friends. It's also worth keeping an eye on the official Naraka Bladepoint social media channels for any announcements regarding cross-play and other updates.
