Mortal Kombat 11 might be getting additional story DLC judging by a new teaser, with an official announcement set to take place Wednesday 6th May.
The official Mortal Kombat Twitter has released a video featuring characters Raiden and Liu Kang, teasing the “epic saga continues” following the return of evil warlock Shang Tsung.
Mortal Kombat fans have been expecting an announcement about further DLC for some time, after the first wave of character DLC came to an end with the addition of Spawn back in March.
Spawn was the sixth character to be added to Mortal Kombat 11, following the Joker, Nightwolf, Terminator T-800, Sindel and Shang Tsung.
It’s unclear whether the possibility of additional story DLC will come with new characters, so we’ll just have to speculate away for 24 hours.
Rumours have circulated for months Evil Dead’s Ash Williams could be joining the franchise, which was given added credence recently after a promotional email mentioned the character.
The official reveal for what’s next for Mortal Kombat 11 will happen at 6am PT/2pm BST on Wednesday 6th May.
