First off, for those new to Mortal Kombat 1, Kameo fighters are not your main character but, instead, can be summoned to help in a fight. They have a cooldown, which automatically recharges over time.

To unlock Sub-Zero as a Kameo fighter in Mortal Kombat 1 to use in your matches, you need to level up to Account Level 10. At this point, you will be able to choose Sub-Zero as a Kameo fighter in MK1.

As a Kameo kombatant, Sub-Zero can perform Iced Out, Kold Shoulder, and Arctic Armor, depending on your button input. There's also a unique Spine Rip Fatality, which can only be seen when Sub-Zero is a Kameo fighter.
