It seems that Ghostface from the Scream franchise might be joining Mortal Kombat 1 relatively soon, according to hints from developers.
Moral Kombat co-creator Ed Boon Tweeted out a photo containing the likeness of various horror icons, such as Michael Myers, Leatherface, and Pinhead. Some of the characters have question marks over their heads, while others are checked off. Those with checkmarks have already been included in previous Mortal Kombat games as DLC characters, while those with question marks have yet to be included.

Ghostface is one of the characters with a question mark, suggesting that he might be added to the game in the near future - but when? In this article, we'll answer your questions as to when Ghostface might be added to Mortal Kombat 1.
When Is Ghostface Coming To Mortal Kombat 1?
Developers haven't announced a specific release date for when Ghostface is coming to Mortal Kombat 1, instead only hinting at the possibility. However, we speculate that Ghostface might be added to Mortal Kombat 1 later in 2023, or perhaps early-to-mid 2024.
It's possible that he could join the game alongside other horror icons pictured in the image, such as Pinhead from Hellraiser. It's worth noting that many of the characters in the graphic do appear in other games as DLC characters; for example, Pinhead, Ghostface, and Michael Myers all show up in Dead by Daylight as playable killers.
It seems pretty likely that Ghostface from Scream is coming to Mortal Kombat 1 as a DLC character in the near future, but it's up in the air as to when exactly what will be.
