Warped Kart Racers release date, all characters and gameplay

We all love Mario Kart, but what if instead of playing with iconic Nintendo characters, one could race around with characters from animated adult comedies, such as Peter Griffen from Family Guy? That's where a new mobile game, Warped Kart Racers from developer Electric Square and publisher 20th Century Games comes into play.

Warped Kart Racers release date & platforms

Hold onto your seats, as Warped Kart Racers has a release date of 20th May 2022, via Apple Arcade.

The game appears to be exclusive to Apple Arcade, which means Warped Kart Racers will be available on release date via the following platforms:

• iPhone
• iPad
• Mac
• Apple TV

At the time of writing, it appears that there will be no Android version of Warped Kart Racers, and no mention of any consoles has been made.

First Warped Kart Racers gameplay revealed

Warped Kart Racers' first gameplay reveal took place in early May 2022 and showcases some frantic racing action.

You can play alone or compete in multiplayer action (up to eight players), and there's even an "extensive single-player campaign" for gamers to enjoy.

A description of Warped Kart Racers via the official announcement reads: "Get warped into the ultimate kart racing game - by yourself, or multiplayer - featuring the stars of 20th Television’s hit animated shows: American Dad!, Family Guy, King of the Hill and Solar Opposites! Experience iconic locations and even some surprise ones in your quest for karting glory!"

From the first look at the gameplay, it is clear there will be items, power-ups and boosts to use across the game's diverse lineup of tracks.

There will be a total of 16 maps drawn from fan-favourite episodes that players can race and battle in.

Warped Kart Racers features characters from four adult comedy animated shows, namely Family Guy, American Dad, King of the Hill and Solar Opposites.

A total of 20 characters will be available at launch, five from each of the shows mentioned above. Check out the complete list of all Warped Kart Racers characters below.
