Regions & platforms - Rainbow Six Mobile Closed Alpha
We've got some bad news to share for iOS users. The first Rainbow Six Mobile Closed Alpha will only be available on Android.
The Closed Alpha will also be geographically limited to the United States of America, Mexico and Canada. However, we do suggest everyone sign up no matter their region, as the developers mentioned "upcoming rollout regions".
During this phase of testing, the languages supported are: English, French, Brazilian Portuguese, Latin America Spanish and Japanese.
Rainbow Six Mobile Closed Alpha content
The Rainbow Six Mobile Closed Alpha is a technical test, focusing on core gameplay mechanics.
Players will be able to try "up to 16 Operators" as well as two iconic Rainbow Six maps. There will also be two game modes available for testing, and you will be able to create a friend's list and team up. No exact details on the modes and maps have been provided.
It is also important to note that the game's progression system and customization options will only become available during a future test.
There is no NDA for the Closed Alpha. This means those who join can share their experiences! Ubisoft, however, does note: "Please keep in mind this is still a work-in-progress version of the game. We know during the Closed Alpha you might encounter issues such as server stability, matchmaking, gameplay mechanics, playing against bots or visual bugs, and we are using this test to identify these issues. Our team is working hard to make sure you have the best player experience possible at the launch."
Does Rainbow Six Mobile Closed Alpha progress carry over?
Since this is an early testing phase, Rainbow Six Mobile Closed Alpha progress made by participants won't carry over to the next phase.
Stats won't be saved either, so the whole point of the Closed Alpha is to provide feedback to the developers and test core mechanics...and of course, experience the game on your Android device!
