EA's untitled Black Panther game has been well under production following its announcement by a newly founded studio, Cliffhanger Games. This studio, which consists of talented artists, engineers, and more who've previously worked on games like Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor, God of War, and Call of Duty, had recently posted a job listing that may indicate what the game may be.

Cliffhanger Games is actively searching for a Sandbox Designer to join the team crafting the untitled Black Panther game. The job listing hints at the game's potential, suggesting it could be an expansive open-world title, a prospect that's sure to thrill fans.

The job description for the Senior Technical Designer Sandbox position reads as follows: "The Senior Technical Designer Sandbox will be instrumental in designing and populating encounters, systems, and gameplay within a dynamic and evolving open world. Drawing upon a deep understanding of technical design principles and a passion for creating immersive sandbox experiences, this role demands close collaboration with design teams, AI engineering, and technical art departments to bring our game world to life."

According to the job listing, some of the responsibilities outlined include to "design, prototype, and implement AI systems, encounters, and gameplay mechanics that contribute to a rich, sandbox environment." They must also collaborate with the "AI engineering team to create sophisticated AI behaviors that enhance the open-world experience, from urban crowds to wildlife ecosystems."

EA will publish the untitled Black Panther game in collaboration with Marvel Games, who helped other studios publish Marvel gaming IPs like Guardians of the Galaxy: The Telltale Series, Marvel's Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2, Midnight Suns, and Marvel Snap. Black Panther is already confirmed to be featured as a playable character in Skydance's upcoming action-adventure game, Marvel's 1943: Rise of Hydra game, which is slated for a 2025 release window.
