We're less than 24 hours to its global release as of writing as developer NetEase Games released their latest Dev Talk update covering other key information ahead of launch. The final daily news announcement has been revealed, wrapping up a month-long promotional event the developer utilized to build up the launch of Marvel Rivals.

James "Logan" Howlett, the Wolverine, takes the spotlight as the final character featured in the daily news announcements for Marvel Rivals, which coincided with the Character Reveal trailer for the titular Duelist hero. While we got a sneak peek at Wolverine in action, the developer continued to be the subject of conversations (for a good reason) after it unveiled the character's latest cosmetic skin available at launch.

Wolverine was officially confirmed as a playable character in the Launch Trailer, released less than a week ago, alongside other characters that will be unlocked and free-to-play (F2P) at launch. The Duelist-classed hero had his combat kit showcased in his Character Reveal trailer as the game's developer revealed Wolverine's cosmetic skin that can be acquired in-game.

Posted to the official Marvel Rivals social media accounts, the developer unveiled Wolverine's latest cosmetic skin, which the character's live-action counterpart's appearance in the 2024 Marvel Studios' film Deadpool & Wolverine was the sole inspiration behind its design. While audiences have seen Wolverine in the black leather superhero suit in the X-Men films during the 2000s, we had never seen him in comic book-inspired costumes across multiple live-action appearances until the Deadpool & Wolverine film release.

The responses online to the skin reveal have players excited to grab this cosmetic skin for Wolverine when Marvel Rivals launches on 6th December 2024, as preloading for PCs has been made available to players. Based on the information provided in the recent Developer Vision update, this latest cosmetic skin for Wolverine will likely be acquired via the in-game Store; however, its pricing has yet to be determined.
