While Marvel Rivals is thriving thanks to its flexible gameplay, massive character roster, and abundance of content to dive into, no new game is without its rough edges. Players have pointed out that the end-game screen's UI could be improved, as it's leading to some frustration. So let’s break down the details and explore what changes players are asking for to enhance the experience in Marvel Rivals.

Marvel Rivals Players Call for UI Changes to End-of-Match Screen to Remove Frustration with Highlights

In Marvel Rivals, players are shown a quick MVP highlight after a match before transitioning to a screen where they can upvote players or view their game highlight by clicking on their character. However, many players have raised concerns about the design of this screen, noting that the upvote button and character highlight button are positioned too closely - or perhaps shouldn’t even share the same screen at all.

The issue stems from the upvote button being directly below the characters. If a player accidentally clicks just above the button, it registers as selecting the character, triggering the highlight video. Since the highlight takes time to load, even trying to exit quickly can disrupt the game’s flow, frustrating players.

This sentiment is echoed by fans on Reddit, where one player wrote, “Please make it easier to upvote quickly and way harder to watch a highlight. I literally never want to watch a highlight unless maybe it was my own, or I suspect someone of cheating.” Another player agreed, saying, “I’ve accidentally clicked it way too many times.”

Some players even proposed solutions to address the problem. One suggestion involved moving the highlight button to the scoreboard menu, as one user explained: “Hit tab, click the character’s face, see the highlight.” This change would allow players to upvote quickly without risking accidental highlight viewing, reserving the feature for those who intentionally want to see it.

Implementing a separation similar to how Overwatch 2 handles these elements could significantly reduce player frustration, especially for those coming off a less-than-stellar match. While NetEase has yet to comment on potential changes, we’ll keep you updated on any developments regarding the highlight and upvote UI in Marvel Rivals.
