Marvel Rivals Dev Thanks Players With Free Iron Man: Armor Model 42 Cosmetic Skin

Marvel Rivals developer NetEase Games is putting the finishing touches as the game's release is just around the corner. The superhero team-based PvP shooter is heading to consoles and PCs globally, and the developer spent weeks generating much interest in the game through new character and map reveals, developer updates, and daily news announcements.

As the player base continues to grow by the numbers, NetEase Games recently thanked them for their "incredible support" in a new social media post. This included a free cosmetic skin reward for one playable character available to all Marvel Rivals players, regardless of platform, with additional details to be announced by the developer following the game's launch.

Posted to the official Marvel Rivals social media channels, the developer thanked the Rivals player base with a bit of surprise that awaits players at launch. As a thank-you gift for the continuous support leading up to its official global release on 6th December 2024, all players will receive a cosmetic skin for free through a redeem code that will be distributed.

While details on how players can redeem the gift code, which we assume will be sent to the in-game Mail, the free cosmetic skin is for Tony Stark / Iron Man. The Iron Man "Armor Model 42" is the cosmetic skin in question that all players will acquire as its design is based on its comic book appearance in the Iron Man Vol. 5 (2012) #1 comic, which this volume formed part of Marvel NOW! branding which saw multiple ongoing series relaunch, including one for Iron Man.
