Marvel Rivals Announced In New Trailer Final Playable Characters Available At Launch

We're less than a week away from the launch of the superhero team-based PvP shooter Marvel Rivals from developer NetEase Games. The game, which is heading to consoles and PCs on 6th December 2024 alongside the start of Season 0 on the aforementioned date, saw familiar faces featuring in the newly released trailer.

The official Launch Trailer dropped last weekend and revealed that Galacta has "assembled more heroes to take on the ultimate challenge." The trailer unveiled the last five playable characters, rounded the roster to 33 heroes, all unlocked and free-to-play (F2P), and teased the new Team-Up Abilities with the announced characters.

The official Launch Trailer for Marvel Rivals was uploaded to their official YouTube channel, which featured all previously announced characters, including Psylocke, Moon Knight, and Hawkeye. The trailer finally announced more heroes joining the Launch Day roster, for which we received the first official looks for the Black Widow, Cloak & Dagger, Iron Fist, Squirrel Girl, and Wolverine.

Since the release of the Launch Trailer, the developer has uploaded new Character Reveal trailers for Squirrel Girl and Iron Fist, which spotlights the combat kit for both Duelist-classed heroes. Additionally, both heroes were featured in the recent wave of daily news announcements following their addition to the roster in the Launch Trailer, which accompanied new cosmetic skin reveals for the aforementioned heroes.

Lastly, new information was included in the trailer's description on YouTube, confirming the preload date and time for Marvel Rivals on consoles and PCs. PC players will begin their preload adventures two days before launch at 12 am UTC via Epic Games Store and Steam, while console players must wait for Launch Day to preload the game.
