With the launch of Marvel Rivals Season 1 just around the corner, the fanbase is excited about the new content in Season 1: Eternal Night Falls. While this season is expected to make a big impact, the developers have shared some advice, urging players to temper their expectations for future seasons once Season 1 concludes. Let’s dive into the details.
Marvel Rivals Developers Inform Players That Future Seasons Won't Be as Packed as Season 1
Season 1 of Marvel Rivals is set to introduce a massive wave of new content, including the Fantastic Four joining the roster, along with a host of lore and additional content tied to the "Eternal Night Falls" theme and its vampiric aesthetic. In a recent developer blog video, Creative Director Guangguang and Lead Combat Designer Zhiyong provided a sneak peek of what's to come but also cautioned that future seasons might not be as packed as Season 1.
Guangguang explained that the team felt bringing all four members of the Fantastic Four into the game in one big season was the right approach. Many players had expected this, as adding multiple heroes, new maps, and lore is a massive undertaking, making Season 1 feel like a special event to kick off the year. Moving forward, while future seasons may not be as dense, players can still expect a steady introduction of new heroes, maps, and content.
The update also revealed that Marvel Rivals will introduce a new elite rank called Celestial and that Jeff, a character players have been requesting fixes for, will finally be addressed. So, while the seasons after Season 1 may be lighter in content, there's still a lot to look forward to, with Season 1 setting the tone for the rest of the year in terms of quality and exciting features.
